After 15 years directing purchasing and marketing for large retailers in France and the US, he created the Les Marchands agency, specialising in retailing, merchandising, and shop design.
With Martine Marescaux, he developed a new approach: Global Merchandising.
In 2015, he became Chief Executive Chairman of Volcan Design, merging Volcan and Les Marchands.
